Johnathan A. Minga
Johnathan joined the firm in July 2013. He handles various matters in the East Tennessee area ranging from criminal defense, family law, juvenile court, probate, personal injury/auto liability and other civil litigation. His criminal defense practice ranges from misdemeanors to homicide cases and everything in between. His family law practice includes divorce, legal separation, child custody, child support, spousal support, post-divorce, termination of parental rights, adoption and paternity actions. Johnathan is licensed to and regularly practices in General Sessions, Criminal, Circuit, Chancery, Juvenile, Federal and Appellate Courts in Tennessee.
A native of Johnson City, and graduate of East Tennessee State University (B.A., Mass Communications and Public Relations) in 2003, Johnathan graduated law school with honors in 2008 with an emphasis on trial practice in criminal and family law. During law school, he served as a Judicial Extern under Chancellor G. Richard Johnson of the 1st Judicial District of Tennessee. Thereafter, he was employed with Mark D. Slagle & Associates until joining Herndon, Coleman, Brading & McKee. He is a past or present member of the American Bar Association, Tennessee Bar Association, Washington County Bar Association (where he was an Executive Committee Member), the Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and Sigma Chi Fraternity. Johnathan is also a Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 31 Listed Family Law Mediator.
