Landlord-Tenant Law
Landlord-Tenant disputes are a common occurrence in the renting process, and many could be avoided if both parties were aware of their rights and responsibilities. For many years, our landlord-tenant attorneys have represented clients in all types of matters in this area of the law, from drafting leases, to initiating and handling the eviction process, to the collection of unpaid rent, as well as everything in between. Historically, we have represented landlords in all aspects of managing their rental properties, but when the opportunity presents itself to advise and/or represent a tenant, the legal knowledge and experience gained through landlord representation allows us to provide sound advice. With the advent of the Uniform Landlord Residential Tenant Act (URLTA), a vast overhaul of existing Tennessee landlord/tenant law occurred. Our sound knowledge of URLTA and the law that has developed since its adoption has proven, time and time again, to be of great value to our clients.
