Resolve Disputes Through Mediation With Our Help

Mediation is a widely recognized form of dispute resolution applicable to many legal issues ranging from personal injury and construction to family law, business law, and more. Sometimes, such as in most family law and construction cases in Tennessee, parties are required to go to mediation before they can try their case in front of a judge. Unlike arbitration, the mediator will not make any judgment in your case. Instead, a mediator helps parties work together to resolve their differences and arrive at a settlement agreement. If the parties can reach an agreement, your mediator or your attorney can reduce that agreement to writing. Once signed, a mediated agreement is almost always binding on both parties. If you cannot agree, you can still go on to court. However, many mediation participants can settle their case and avoid expensive litigation and ugly courtroom battles.

Mediation is private, independently paced, and customized to the issues in your case. In mediation, disputants can work with a neutral mediator and, if desired, their own counsel, to find the solutions that work best for them. At Herndon, Coleman, Brading, & McKee, LLP, we customize our services to meet disputants’ needs. Our legal team includes certified a Rule 31-certified family law mediator with over 17 years of family law and mediation experience and a civil mediator who has worked personal injury and insurance cases for decades. We can provide both a venue and facilitator for your mediation, or one of our mediators can come to you.
